Message High risk topic...clearly way out of the box, don't just go and do this!

I just wanted to bring a topic up. Let me start by asking that we ignore engine safety (sort of) for a moment. Obviously this is risky business, but I am interested if those with experience in the matter could tune in. Not regarding engine safety with potential W/A Injection failure, BUT WITH REGARDS TO KEEPING IATs LOW ENOUGH.

Let's assume factory 370cc injectors, factory turbos, factory VG30ETT motor, 93 pump, and VERY SHORT (2 1/4-2/1/2 pipes?) pre/post turbos. This 'theoretical' setup would also have NO INTERCOOLERS. This would not be a 700rwhp monster, but maybe a 400hp+ car. The entire intake system would breath with almost no resistance.

I know there are variables regarding fluid used - let's assume the (close to) ideal whatever that may be. Also, ambient will play a big role, but let's just say 80F as an average...

1) would a well designed WI system be capable of keeping the IAT low enough to run 12-14psi without detonation? Higher?

2) Do any of you measure IAT? If so, what IAT are you seeing, and at what level? At what IAT do you experience detonation? and... What would be considered the highest safe IAT as around 14psi with close to factory timing?

3)please, other comments not related to potential failure of the aux. injection system?

Please don't flame - just a question, as crazy as they may seem.

OK, now you can kick me out of TT.net :)

8.5 to 1 CR NA. For the moment....
